The headline is actually deceptive, it may not really make you wealthy wealthy, but can definately save you some cash :)
Last time I spoke in short on the top golden rule of travelling - Travel light. In addition, I requested you to have a look at money belt bearing in mind the primary golden rule. I do hope you did that & reduced your shopping list.
The first international trip I ever took with the family was while I was Fourteen. The getaway was India and this is way back in the late 1980s. My dad was a military colonel & mother had a small chain of book stores. While mom and dad began planning the actual trip nearly 6 months beforehand, we read about the different places we would check out every day. The 2nd golden rule for holiday travel is you guessed it - Plan in Advance!
My dad organized every thing with mum using his military precision, checklists were created, duties were allotted to me & my sister (who was elder by 3 years) 6 months prior to we were to journey. We had 3 lists
General checklist - In which everything that everyone would need and utilize was listed (toothpaste, nail clipper etc)
Emergency List - In which prescribed drugs, emergency phone numbers etc were listed
Personal List - Where our individual things that we would like to carry were outlined (boy! this list ended up being massive!!!)
And then there were the responsibilities checklist. Dad would do the tickets, visa, permission for him to travel (he was still serving), Mom would handle the doctor prescribed drugs, visits to the doctor, outfits, I & Emily were required to check out places we wanted to visit. All Emily desired to do was find out snake charmers & princes (hehe!!), me I desired to see the Mt Everest & ride elephants. We were so far removed from reality (well somewhat far!)
The point I am trying to make here's, in case you are travelling internationally on a family holiday, plan as soon as possible. Write every little thing down in 2-3 lists then begin weeding things that are not required. I am sure you don't have to carry Five different kinds of moisturizer. You'll need a sunblock plus a moisturizing lotion.
We were given merely 2 bags; I had a duffel plus a little backpack. Planning this early, resulted us in finishing all of our holiday needs & bags buying during sales. By doing this I guess we saved almost 60% of the cost we might have paid for had we all waited up until the eleventh hour. So now you realise why I sent you to money belts
This website is about vacation requirements and is also my present favorite. Within a few weeks I have saved near $800 on backpacks and other travel need items.
Coming back lets recap the two travel rules we've learned so far
Plan in Advance
& reduce costs where ever it is possible to! Until the next one, dream of your forthcoming family vacation!
